Binding of polyclonal human lgG by Nuvia S media.

Comparison of Nuvia S and other commercially available CEX media. Column size, 0.7 x 5.5 cm. The sample was loaded into the column in 40 mM sodium acetate, pH 5.0 ± 30 mM sodium chloride, washed, and then eluted with 40 mM sodium acetate, pH 5.0 ± 1 M sodium chloride. DBC, Dynamic binding capacity BT, breakthrough.

Nuvia media are a family of ultra high capacity ion exchangers designed for optimal performance in bioprocessing workflows. The media are built on a robust base matrix with proprietary surface extender technology. We are now offering Nuvia Q media, our exciting new high capacity anion exchanger delivering excellent resolution capabilities of feedstream contaminants such as host cell proteins and double-stranded DNA. Higher productivity can be achieved by using Nuvia Q through faster flow rates without compromising binding capacity. Significant cost savings are achieved through less chromatography media, smaller columns and reduced buffer consumption.

Dynamic Binding Capacity vs. flow velocity of Nuvia Q media.

Graph A

Each 1.1 cm column was packed to a 10.6 cm bed height with Nuvia Q, Capto Q, or Toyopearl GigaCap® Q-650M media. Five mg/ml BSA in 20 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.5, was loaded onto each column until 10% breakthrough was observed. DBC BSA, dynamic binding capacity bovine serum albumin; BT, breakthrough.

The innovative design of the Nuvia S cation exchanger gives superior binding capacity across a broad range of pH, conductivity, and flow rate conditions. The unique performance characteristics of Nuvia S make it a flexible solution for both the capturing and polishing steps of protein therapeutics. Nuvia S is also an exceptional tool for removing contaminants such as mAb fragments and aggregates.

It's time to add Nuvia S & Q to your solutions menu, to deliver robust and high productivity time after time.
